Sometimes I like to combine search terms to see if I can discover something. For example, a study I found demonstrated that there were consistently a couple types of fungus that inhabit certain cancers. Since I’m fascinated by a certain food component’s ability to be cancer protective I looked up to see if it’s anti-fungal and low and behold it is. Someday, I’ll share all the benefits of this food.
Yesterday, I was curious about mice studies and Viagra. I’ve mentioned before that Viagra is a preventative for Alzheimer’s and why I don’t think that it would be good practice to prevent Alzheimer's the hard way. Anyway, something occurred to me so I checked to see if the mice in Viagra research started behaving differently. The only thing I could find were some insignificant behaviors like high fives and sunglasses.
Okay, that’s not specifically what I was looking up. I just searched “viagra studies in mice” because the concept seemed funny to me. Like, did the mice start having awkward conversations, “Hey, Mickey, have you noticed anything different lately?”
“No, Jerry, but I have to say, you’re making me feel uncomfortable”.
Hopefully, nobody reading this is offended by mouse jokes.
Surprisingly, there was no fodder for Abarkingspider.com in the “mouse ED” arena, but I did find some new research on PDE9 inhibitors “a cousin to Viagra”. This ’21 research indicated potential for a pill to cause fat burning and it may be a drug candidate for that use. Johns Hopkins applied for a patent.
I applied for a patent for the use of pocket protectors as “a friend-zone agonist” for males seeking dates, but it got rejected.
These drugs for weight loss usually go well. I remember Olestra caused fat to go through the digestive tract reducing caloric absorption which turned out to be great if you enjoyed rickets and diarhea with your limited weight loss. Without looking it up it’s amazing to me how these drugs get through the FDA.
Now it occurs to me, what if Viagra went through the FDA as an Alzheimer’s treatment instead . . . Grandpa, would you at least stop smiling this is creeping me out . . .
Anyway, some non-drug things are nearly as effective as drugs. 30 ml of apple cider vinegar prior to consuming a high glycemic meal by people with insulin resistance can reduce blood glucose by 20%. Tart cherry has been shown to reduce uric acid, a metabolic by product more prevalent in people with poor metabolic health, levels by 20% which could help circulation, blood pressure, and the effectiveness of insulin. Quercetin blocks uric acid as well and aids mitochondria.
That being, said, as I’ve indicated, if you apply the simple practice of 4 things plus a bonus practice, these issues needn’t be issues or as serious at minimum. I’ll get to writing that book someday. Why do I say four things plus one instead of just saying 5? I guess the same reason you have 8-minute abs instead of 9. People will by the 8-minute video every time.
